We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Investment Strategist, Asset Allocation .
Principal responsibilities
Asset Allocation and Quantitative Strategy
·
Responsible for developing Asia focused Strategic Asset Allocation, Tactical Asset Allocation, Advisory Reference Portfolios, quantitative strategies and factor or style investing models by employing sophisticated quantitative research
· Apply quantitative and programming skills to build value adding systematic trading strategies and develop factor and style investing strategies.
· Deliver outsourced Chief Investment Office services including bespoke portfolio risk analytics, asset allocation advisory and portfolio optimization for Ultra High Networth and Family Office clients.
· A permanent member of the Asia Regional Investment Committee, responsible for making investment decisions to define regional investment strategies, product fulfillment plans and develop High Conviction Themes for Asia.
Investment Content Creation
· Contribute to investment content creation with focus on asset allocation, portfolio strategies and factor investing, including production of periodic reports on Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation, and ad hoc white papers on Portfolio Based Approach.
· Contribute to the Asia Advisory Proposition and Aladdin Advisory Platform by providing Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation inputs, developing quantitative strategy contents and supporting strategic transformation of Asia's advisory process towards the Portfolio Based Approach.
· Leveraging quantitative research and Alpha strategies of Global Research to produce Chief Investment Office commentaries on asset allocation, factor investing and quantitative strategies
Communication and Marketing
· Internal marketing of global and Asia focused Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation, Asia Advisory Reference Portfolios, Portfolio Based Approach and Core Satellite High Conviction Thematic investment framework.
· Communicate Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation, portfolio strategy views and quantitative strategies at client seminars, marketing events and bespoke client presentations.
· Communicate asset allocation and portfolio strategy views and quantitative strategies to the media and in external industry forums, building visible public profile and media presence to enhance HSBCs thought leadership in wealth management.
· Participate in client pitches, prospecting events and client meetings to raise penetration of Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation, and Advisory Reference Portfolios in support of net new money generation and client acquisition.
· Work closely with the global and Asian Investment Strategy and Product Teams to develop factor and style investing strategies to meet client needs.
· Support key Advisory transformation projects and Frontline training to raise acceptance of the Portfolio Based Approach.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Requirements
· Extensive years of experience in portfolio strategy, asset allocation, portfolio analytics and quantitative research experience in the finance industry, preferably Private Banking or Asset Management.
· University degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Master of Business Admin or Master of Science in Finance degree is an advantage.
· Certified Financial Analyst qualification is not mandatory but a merit.
· Excellent quantitative skills with solid knowledge in factor and style investing. High proficiency in quantitative methods and computer modelling to embed factors and systematic rules in portfolio strategies.
· Sophisticated technical skills in financial market data mining to identify trading opportunities and rules based investment strategies in equity, bond and currency markets.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· A team player, dynamic, sociable, adaptable, reliable, attention to details.
