The International Mortgage Officer (non-advisory) role is based within Premier Network

The role of the International Mortgage Officer (non-advisory) is to work in partnership with Global Stakeholders in other markets to support International customers with their UK home buying needs. Professionalism, client focus and expert understanding of mortgage products and services are critical to the success in the role. The role holder has a responsibility to build collaborative relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders, to hand hold our International customers through the home purchasing journey and to develop and deepen relationships with these customers, identifying where appropriate additional banking and wealth needs.

The role is challenging and provides the opportunity for individuals to develop a broad range of capabilities in stakeholder engagement, superior customer experience and the growth of international client base, supporting them with their mortgage and banking needs in the UK and managing the risk of international customers. This will predominantly be completed by telephone due to the overseas nature of our customers but will be branch based and you will have the capability to meet customers on a face to face basis. This role is based in Central London

The career progression path for someone taking on this role could potentially undertake a relationship management role or with the required qualifications progress into a Mortgage and Protection Manager Role. HSBC also has national and global opportunities in Risk, Marketing, HR, IT, Commercial banking to name a few. There will be on the job coaching and training for this role. Networking events, monthly social gathering with the wider team.

In this role you will:

· Act as a Brand Ambassador for HSBC UK, delivering an exceptional customer experience through identifying and fulfilling all customer needs at first point of contact.

Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's full range of products & services to enable you to connect your customers with other colleagues who can support their entire life journey.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across HSBC Group to support International customers through the journey of purchasing UK property, whilst their centre of life remains overseas

·
Proactively drive referrals to Premier, Wealth and Branch Specialists to ensure that the customer is provided with the best possible advice.

Be passionate and care about offering a service to our valued customers that is second to none

Understand & continue to develop your knowledge of Cross Border communications, operational risk, legal & regulatory requirements & operating procedures & practises.

Be confident, outgoing, and resilient and be able to quickly establish rapport with our customers and build lasting relationships

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·  be fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin and English
· 
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. customer services.

· 
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of core Retail and Wealth products.

· 
A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service.

· 
Pride yourself on consistently delivering a personalised, friendly & efficient service at all times.

· 
Self awareness with confidence to work independently and take responsibility for own development

· 
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
