We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

Insurance Risk Subdirector

Role purpose:

Oversight insurance Risk Management across HSBC Insurance in order to ensure delivery of a successful Financial, Capital ESG and Product Development Risk Management framework, focusing on key factors such as: strategy oversight, market and credit risk monitoring (interest rates, ALM, Fx rate, etc), liquidity, stress tests developing/improving, oversight in the product approval process and compliance of risk management regulatory requirements. Support in all Third Party Insurance Partnerships to ensure risk management, mitigating actions and controls are in place to deliver strong, sustainable returns.

The role holder will:

·  Monitor Risk Management Reports delivered on time and HSBC quality standards.
·  Monitor Market and Credit risk reports aligned to local and Group requirements. 
·  Monitor Solvency Margin under risk appetite.
·  Product Development approvals risks assessment with risks mitigations and Risk Stewards acceptance.  

Main responsibilities:

·  Ensure proper prioritization and timely execution of varied initiatives concurrently. 
·  To co-ordinate the management of risk within a diverse range of business. 
·  To overcome issues of a technical nature requiring strategic thinking requiring self reliance and extensive risk management knowledge. 
·  Provision of detailed management information to ensure compliance with current strategy and allow the business to set future strategy accordingly. 
·  Improvements and optimization of processes. 
·  Appropriate control of the monthly information used in the area. 
·  Analysis of the results and main movements of the month. 

Requirements

·  Bachelor degree or equivalent on administrative, actuarial or economic areas. 
·  Experience in risk management related to financial assets, capital requirement models, asset and liabilities matching and liquidity moitoring. 
·  Risk Appetite definition and monitoring based on the type of risks required by local regulation. 
·  Development of the Autoevaluación de Riesgos y Solvencia Institucional and delivery of Regulatory Report of Corporate Governance (RR-2). 
·  Knowledge and understanding of Solvency II standards.
·  Knowledge in Life insurance products and their development.
·  IFRS17 fundamentals. 
·  Stress Testing and back testing development and analysis.
·  Strong English and Spanish skills - written and oral.
