The Implementation Specialist role is based within CDD within HTS SWD Europe has responsibility for working with Business areas to deliver software solutions that meet the RBWM and CMB strategy. Responsible for managing the implementations of the Global Standards
- CDD system for all countries/entities globally.

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for managing/coordinating all the implementation activities associated with the delivering of the CDD system for a country.   They will be responsible for pulling together and managing of the country deployment Runbook. The role holder will have extensive liaison and communication with all the impacted teams (ITO, Global SWD, Regional SWD and country level SWD teams) to ensure all implementation tasks get completed. They will be responsible for establishing working relationships with multiple SWD teams and contribute to setting the strategy and direction for the Deployment function.
 
Working on a high profile programme, which is moving at a fast pace. The role is located within the Engineering domain, HTS. The role will involve working across multiple sites within the entity and liaison/travel with other entities/countries within the HSBC Group may be required. There could be opportunities to travel in the role. The role will take direction from the Immediate Supervisor role. 
 
Your responsibilities will include:

Develop and retain a high level of understanding of business and IT systems requirements at Group as well as local level, to enable appropriate support and guidance to be given to teams.
Provide direction for all implementation activities to ensure the delivery, on time and budget, of quality systems to live environments.
Demonstrate and apply excellent business domain knowledge.
Customer/stakeholder
Ensure that implementation adheres to Group and local standards.
Manage the completion of each implementation by establishment and strong monitoring of schedules/resources/costs ensuring completion to agreed quality expectations.
Manage and control issues and escalation to ensure satisfactory resolution.
Initiate and/or support continuous process improvement to achieve productivity and efficiency gains. Provide cost benefits as required.
Build trusting relationships with stakeholders by consistently meeting and delivering upon their business needs; demonstrating and being respected for your domain knowledge
Leadership/teamwork
Develop and maintain high quality communication and relationships, both internal and external to the Bank, with all parties. Manage the coordination of communication with virtual teams worldwide.
Manage global resources in all development activities to achieve project goals.
Establish, manage and develop onshore/offshore engagements and their capability to support operational needs in line with project and IT strategy.
Provide guidance and coaching to Teams.
Control concurrent projects and resources for multiple projects that vary in scale and complexity, ensuring schedule/budget/quality requirements are met.
Participate in the development of Group-wide, and local, policy to improve the deployment process.
Undertake task management of multiple resources; this covers responsibility, and support, for the training, development and performance review of staff to develop their careers.
Maintain an awareness of technology and development trends and industry best practice, and provide advice to Business/IT.
Undertake additional tasks as directed by Task Manager or Line Management.

Desired profile

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Some knowledge of implementing information systems (e.g. GCDU, ESR, etc.) and Future State Architecture (Business Services) would be desirable as well as experience of implementing group systems.
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Must have worked within an IT position or function
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Ability to prioritize work effectively and deliver within agreed service levels in a diverse and ever changing environment
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Exposure to the usage of Risk Management and mitigation on projects,
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. The role will involve working across multiple sites within the entity and liaison/travel with other entities/countries within the HSBC Group may be required.
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Experience and exposure to working on medium/large projects   is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Understanding of agile and project lifecycle. is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Experience working within a financial institution is desirable but not essential
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e.  A detailed understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies is desirable but not essential
Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Knowledge of implementing information systems (e.g. GCDU, ESR, etc.) and Future State Architecture (Business Services) would be desirable as well as experience of implementing group systems. is desirable but not essential
Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
A track record of making strategic business decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications, commercial realities and stakeholders'' needs
Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
Proven experience of successful project management, utilising relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery
Experience of building and managing complex relationships with significant customers
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will Be able to task manage and work on own initiative, taking direction from supervisor/line manager.
