Designation : Senior Software Engineer
Location : Pune

Job Description

· Working with individual component specialists to document e2e technical design explaining options and impacts of configuration settings
· Ensure relevant technical settings are understood and optimised during design and testing.
· Lead fault diagnosis across the entire estate, produce and record root cause analysis documents
· Work closely with solution architects and Infrastructure architects to ensure optimal performance through pro-active design and configuration.
· Quality assure project designs, code designs, code deliverables as well as software delivery methodology adherence including test-driven approach and release techniques.
· Participate in driving changes as appropriate to bank standard technologies ensuring that industry technology innovations are recognised and assessed.
· Partner with IT Operations to ensure hardware-related touch-points are also included in day-to-day considerations and that software designs conform to the infrastructure technology standards.
· Ensure compliance with internal and external technology standards and regulatory obligations.
· Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with the Group policies.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  University degree in computer science, mathematics or related numerate discipline
·  3 years+ of demonstrable technology specialisms as either senior engineer or technical architect – ideally within one or more global financial organisations.
·  Deep understanding of typical banking technologies such as web 2.0 development, Java, Spring Framework, MuleESB, WebSphere, Oracle.
·  Ideally with deep knowledge on latest technologies for example cloud computing and micro-service architecture, NoSQL databases, latest JavaScript frameworks, etc.
·  Excellent command of written and spoken English and strong presentation skills. Ability to adapt communications to suite a variety of audiences from junior engineer to the most senior executive.
·  Leadership experience leading a team of 10+ engineers
·  Proven track record in pragmatic software designs with strong understanding of software security, designing for performing, designing for re-use and designing for test.
·  Strong experience in Service Oriented Architecture and Integration solutions
·  Track record in delivery of complex projects under diversified/matrix team structure
·  Sound appreciation of the full software development life cycle, including continuous integration, automatic testing and auto release management
·  Understanding of commercial or investment banking products and system solutions
·  Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills
·  Excellent understanding of Agile
·  Ability in working under pressure
·  Able to work flexible hours and willingness to occasional travel to our development centres
