We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a HSBC Insurance HK, Head of Business Resilience.

Principal Responsibilities

·  The HSBC Insurance HK Head of Business Resilience is a direct report of the HSBC Insurance HK, CCO.  The role holder will lead the HSBC Insurance HK Business Resilience Team in managing all aspects of business resilience including, inter alia, cyber and information technology controls, data management and governance, third party management, business continuity and issues management, access management, technology risk and management of system related incidents
·  The role will require effective collaboration and alignment with the DBS, Second Line Risk functions, ClOs / Heads of IT, CCO Tech teams as well as Insurance Senior Management and the board
·  Enable risk based monitoring of Information and Cyber Security Risk and Systems and Data Integrity controls / policies and standards to validate control effectiveness and drive timely resolution of information security issues including the capability to detect, respond and recover from incidents
·  Ensure effective and timely reporting and escalation of risk using the risk management framework within Insurance. Further, they will assist senior management to articulate their risk appetite, and ensure that they also have appropriate visibility of their Business Resilience Risk
·  Oversight of Third Party Risk and works closely with departments to ensure effective management of Internal as well as External third parties
·  Responsible for gathering and prioritizing data and information management requirements (includes Data requests, Strategic initiatives, MI Automation, Dashboard build out, Analytics Support, Digital Data Support, Regulatory Needs etc.)
·  Responsible for Data Governance and Data Quality Management (establish data ownership, drive data quality remediation planning/execution etc.)
·  Collaborate with Bank teams (local, regional and group) as needed to support data related activities around customer, analytics support, digital etc.
·  Plan data management initiatives leveraging constructs like Insurance data lake and other capabilities to effect streamlining, FTE reduction through automation and operations efficiency improvement
·  Providing consultancy support to internal business team and other relevant stakeholders on data access controls (data visa, privacy impact assessments etc.) and enabling D&IM use cases in a timely and qualitative manner
·  Drive efforts towards attaining compliance with relevant internal and external policies and regulations 
·  Actively support incident (i.e. internal risk event) escalation and management specifically – system, information security and third party related incidents

Requirements

·  Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
·  Confidence to interact with and present to senior management
·  Collaboration and influencing skills. Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels to effectively manage risks, implement / enhance controls, address / manage incidents
·  Solid risk management capabilities with a good understanding of Non-Financial Risk and the ability to resolve complex problems
·  Demonstrated track record of driving business process enhancements, automation, adoption of enterprise technology to streamline workflows
·  Proven team management and leadership skills
·  Ability to operate with clear vision under stress in crisis management situations and operate effectively against uncertain and on unfamiliar ground
·  Effective matrix management skills in multi-cultural environments
·  Organised and autonomous
·  Practical knowledge of Data Management, Information Technology, Information Security and Cyber Risk Concepts and Frameworks
·  One or more of the following Information and Cyber Security industry recognized qualifications CISM, CISA, CISSP or CRISC would be an added advantage
