Hong Kong Student Work Placement Programme (ID: 0000KLAU )
The Hong Kong Student Work Placement is for students looking for work experience with a leading global bank. The placement provides opportunities to gain some hands-on experience over six months, and develop your knowledge of banking and financial services.
For: Hong Kong SAR nationals from a recognised Hong Kong or overseas university.
Preferably undergraduate students, from any degree disciplines, graduating in 2026, 2027 or 2028
Duration: Six months
Business Area: Global Banking and Markets; CEO Office
Location: Hong Kong
Placement starts: January 2025

What to expect
· Support the senior leadership team to help drive the day-to-day agenda and management of the business
· Provide support in preparing materials for management meetings, internal and external communications, reports, and presentations
· Support ad-hoc projects and requests and implementation of key initiatives
· Conduct economic and financial research
· Support in Strategy execution projects

Work placements generally last around six months and may be eligible for credit equivalencies, subject to university requirements.

Requirements
Who can apply?
To be considered for the placement, you will:
· Be available to work full-time between January 2025 and June 2025
· Preferably penultimate and final year undergraduate students, from any degree disciplines.
· Have well-developed language skills in English (Cantonese and Putonghua would be advantageous)
· Have solid PC skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Business / Finance/ Accounting / Economics academic qualifications would be preferred
· Knowledge of banking industry and understanding of business and economic environment
· Strong communication skills and eager to learn and development
· Overseas students are welcome to apply with the legal right to work in Hong Kong
