We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team in the role of Head of Corporate Real Estate.
 
Role Purpose
To support the implementation of the Group’s strategic objectives through customer driven delivery of CRE services and continuous performance improvement;
To provide strategic leadership in respect of the real estate portfolio within region to ensure that the portfolio is actively and efficiently managed and capable of supporting the changing needs of the business going forward;
Reporting to the Head of CRE In Region, the individual has direct responsibility for the delivery of a full range of Facilities, Property and Project Management services, across a diverse portfolio;
The role works with a number of significant external supplier partnerships as well as an internal team of property professionals;
The role is to ensure that real estate is a key business enabler, through the delivery of innovative and forward thinking initiatives relating to the portfolio and which support the country’s business needs across Portfolio Optimisation, Workplace and FM Solutions, Retail Solutions, Sustainability, Critical Facilities and Risk Management;
The Head of CRE has direct responsibility for the Group's commercial banks. The role also provides management oversight and direction for the other Group entities in the country.
 
Principal Responsibilities
 
Impact on the Business
Direct responsibility for the delivery of a full range of Facilities, Property and Project Management services, in line with the HOST's business framework and Group Standards Manual;
Ensure that real estate is a key business enabler, through the delivery of innovative and forward thinking initiatives relating to the portfolio and which support the country’s business needs (e.g. repositioning HSBC in the High Street, Data Centres, monetization strategies, alternative workplace strategies etc.).
Customers / Stakeholders
Drive customer satisfaction in relation to the real estate services offered across the portfolio, including facilities management;
To work closely with both the external supplier partnerships and the internal customer base;
Ensure that company facilities and supplier activities comply with Group health, safety and fire standards, insurance requirements and relevant local and national mandatory standards.
Leadership & Teamwork
Proactively manage the internal real estate team and external strategic suppliers/ resources to implement an overarching real estate strategy for the country in line with global strategies;
Actively influence and manage the real estate portfolio through key CRE leaders;
Building and maintaining relationships with senior executives and business customers within country.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
Strategic asset management of the real estate portfolio and the delivery of facilities management services to the portfolio as a whole;
On-going delivery and implementation of the data centre strategy;
To actively contribute to the sustainability agenda through the delivery of new building designs and other initiatives;
To effectively manage all outsourced vendors in line with CRE and Group Policy;
Leadership over all regulatory and compliance matters and the management of operational risk.

Desired profile

Requirements:
Possess a tertiary qualification with 5 to 8 years of working experience in related discipline;
An experienced real estate professional with a significant experience gained from Facilities and Project Management within a corporate environment.
Strong level of business awareness, financial/budget management expertise and team management and engagement skills within a corporate structure or similar.
A proven track record in leading and implementing real estate solutions within a corporate environment;
Proven ability to manage a large range of stakeholders and external consultants/contractors to drive best performance;
Ability and commitment to high standards or customer service and customer relationship management;
Ability to manage professional multi disciplinary teams;
Ability to operate in a fast moving and dynamic environment.
