Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.
 
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Global Mobility Relationship Manager, Asia Pacific.
 
Principal responsibilities
Global Mobility Asia Pacific department coordinates International Assignee services provided to all types of HSBC International Assignee including but not limited to International Managers, International Contract Executives, International Secondees and Short-Term Assignees.
As part of a team of Global Mobility Relationship Managers, the individual will administer and coordinate the implementation of the Groups International Assignment polices. This role liaises with all levels of Group management on a daily basis to deliver a wide array of technically in depth advisory and execution services that ensure all aspects of the International Assignees’ life cycle, from selection to repatriation, are delivered in an accurate, timely and confidential manner.
Provide Global Mobility services to deliver a top tier service to HSBC's internationally mobile employees around all aspects of the assignment life cycle including but not limited to policy counseling, managing third party provision of relocation logistics, handling enquiries from International Assignees, line managers and other areas of Human Resources and any other matters relating to International Assignments
Advise and build relationships with other stakeholders in the process including but not limited to Human Resources Generalists, Performance & Reward, Human Resources Operations teams to provide expertise around interpretation and implementation of the Groups International Assignment policies
Contribute to the review of International Assignment policies and processes through knowledge of industry best practices and manages any recommended changes through to implementation
Ensure International Assignments’ data are properly maintained in a timely manner on the Global Human Resources System and other respective systems in accordance with Global Mobility processes
Support various global, regional and local Global Mobility projects. Develop effective action plans, optimise manpower resources and coordinate with all parties to ensure a smooth and timely implementation of global, regional and local Global Mobility projects
Manage and analyse build-up packages for all International Secondees in Asia-Pacific across multiple businesses and functions to ensure compliance with the Group’s secondment policy
Manage HSBC internal control standards to minimise the likelihood of operational risk occurring, including risk identification, assessment and mitigation, and control loss identification and reporting

Desired profile

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related business discipline
Solid experience in Global Mobility
Background in other areas such as expatriate taxation, immigration, vendor management will be considered
Well-developed English communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and influence
Excellent interpersonal sensitivity and people management skills
Strong level of numeracy and analytical skills with a good ability to attend to details
Ability to express and introduce new ideas. Proactive and able to offer innovative solutions for process improvements
Sound judgment, keen sense of urgency, and high level of professional and personal integrity
