Role Title: Global Markets - Strategic Business Development
Business: Global Banking and Markets
Role Purpose / Key Accountabilities:
The objective of the senior position in Strategic Business Development is a critical role responsible for shaping the direction and strategy for Global Markets.
As lead in Strategic Business Development, you will frequently engage with senior stakeholders across the firm to articulate the vision for Global Markets' future growth and necessary steps to achieve the key objectives of the business and you will manage a team of 3 people
Main strategic missions:
He or she plays a leadership role in the business, leading the development of long-range of strategic plans and objectives through the identification of strategic issues and opportunities that could influence business growth and profitability.
In particular he or she will:
• Foster collaboration across divisions at HSBC, with a focus on the firm's future growth; developing and aligning strategy with Global Markets' Internal Stakeholders; reviewing / exploring joint initiatives
• Be responsible for spearheading the strategic vision across all fronts of the business
• Review / Investigate current and possible adhoc Strategic initiatives
• Embed Macro and Competition Intelligence into the Strategy
• Foster innovation and creative ideas; support and lead a variety of strategic efforts
• Partner with the different businesses (asset-classes, sales, regions) to design and ensure the successful implementation for the Pillars of Growth and their enabler.
• Provide advice and support on good practice, ie: fulfil a business advisory / value enhancement role in supporting management across the Group in the development of our strategy while keeping the right balance between short-term improvement and long-term value
• Shaping roadmap and conduct deep market research
