PCM Canada is a critical part of the HBCA business today generating significant funding for the Bank along with meaningful revenue contribution through the execution of the Leading International Bank strategy. The GBM and CMB Large Corporate client base are a key growth priority for the Canadian PCM franchise and this role is fundamental to implement and drive on-boarding of the Bank's largest clients and prospects here in Canada and across the world
This position has a focus on Gdocs (Global account opening documents) and manages the completing and processing of all Payments & Cash Management (PCM) legal documentation related to the implementation of cash management products and services for the PCM implementation team. Leads efforts to streamline and modernize these activities. Works with Legal and Product Management to ensure expeditious documentation negotiation and approval.
Leadership and Teamwork
Lead large scale on-boarding of GBM and Large Corporate CMB clients
Manage a team that participates in client implementations as required to provide documentation expertise and guidance to clients. Ensure the team serves as subject matter expert and central contact in the documentation process, including the review, definition and negotiation of legal and global account opening documents. Handle more complex documentation related issues.
Lead efforts to develop and implement streamlined processes for ongoing documentation support, utilizing Six Sigma methodologies, including implementation of scanning for signature verification and documentation storage, and purchase and utilization of a document repository tool that permits approved legal changes to be tracked and easily accessed; work with global partners to ensure consistent use of the same platform.
Develop and implement a streamlined process for the documentation team to serve as contact point among Legal, Product Management and the client for documentation negotiation.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
Serve as Global Account Opening Document Coordinator responsible for managing in-country documentation requirements and serving as point of contact for global counterparts and line businesses.
Serve as primary contact in obtaining PCM legal, compliance and audit approval for amendments or changes to standard documents.
Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices.
Management of Risk
Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
Observation of Internal Controls
Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Desired profile
Minimum of ten years commercial documentation experience or equivalent, including experience working with clients; cash management documentation experience preferred.
Minimum of a bachelors degree in business, related field or equivalent experience; Masters degree preferred.
Proven leadership, communications, customer service, organizational, analytical, lateral thinking, problem-solving, project management and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of PCM products and services.
Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt, equivalent or ability to successfully become certified.
