Job description

The Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) Sales Manager - Business Banking role is based within Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM).

The role of the GLCM Sales Manager - Business Banking is to build valuable relationships and support the growth in the Business Banking segment. Support Relationship Managers with their portfolios by providing Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) product & services solutions. Will be responsible for growing revenues and to manage the risks associated with GLCM product solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:
· Assist Business Banking (BB) Relationship Managers (RMs) in managing their client portfolios to maintain existing and generate new relationships for the business
· Contribute to the GLCM pipeline ensuring it is accurate and current
· Maintain close liaison with key stakeholders so as to provide input into the strategic direction of the business and the functionality and launch of new products and services
· Look for opportunities to generate referrals for other HSBC Global Businesses e.g. Private Banking (PB), Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) as appropriate
· Remain up to date with product knowledge through attendance at presentations, formal/informal training, and reviewing the HSBC intranet pages
· Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements
· Work with relevant key stakeholders to ensure a positive client experience including excellent service and implementation
· Work with team members to develop an appropriate calling plan to efficiently and effectively meet clients' needs
· Where appropriate put together high quality customer presentations to best showcase HSBC's offering to potential new clients
· Work in partnership with colleagues across the HSBC network to deliver exceptional standards and quality of service
· Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
· Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making
· Take personal responsibility for understanding and agreeing performance expectations, completing the necessary mandatory training and developing the levels of capability and competence needed to be effective in the role
· Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment
· Suggest ideas and contribute to implementing actions that will improve customer service, quality or the way teams and individuals work together
· Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures
· Continuously monitor GLCM, gather information from GLCM sources to assess potential impacts and identify risks, necessary changes and business opportunities
· Apply GLCM policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for their own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance

Desired profile

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
·  Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of GLCM, is desirable but not essential
·  Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Sales is desirable but not essential
·  Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Commercial Banking (CMB) is desirable but not essential
·  A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers
·  Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
·  Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
·  Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
·  Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
·  A track record of effectively handling complex sales, to meet the needs of demanding customers, in a fair and ethical way
