Role Overview:
• The primary focus of the role is to manage, raise awareness, and assist in implementation of Fraud Control Policy and Strategy in order to highlight fraud risk weaknesses and mitigate fraud losses to the country
• To provide SME advice on setting policy, overseeing and monitoring fraud risk controls by the different lines of businesses
• To actively engage the business in ensuring FIM fraud prevention controls and regional guidelines on fraud risk are understood and implemented in a timely manner
Duties & Responsibilities:
Impact on the Business
• To review local policies and ensure that minimum standards for prevention activities are in place across the business lines
• Scrutinize fraud risk management activities and recommend changes to manual procedures and existing systems
• To review that fraud activity is appropriately investigated and promotes appropriate action within the Bank
• Represent Fraud Risk teams in business initiatives and projects within the country
Customers / Stakeholders
• Core customers are the following:
• Global Business
• Global Functions
• Work closely with Country FCTM Investigation team
• Monitoring the performance of key risks, through the key indicators and oversight/assurance programmes against defined risk appetite and tolerance levels
Leadership & Teamwork
• Providing country inputs on fraud risk emerging trends and threats, and seeking regional guidance on preventive actions
• To support Fraud Risk team on an ad hoc basis when required
Operational Effectiveness & Control
• To be accountable for the work deliveries within the country, performing functions as 2nd line of defence responsibilities
• Create training modules and deliver fraud awareness sessions to staff, and liaise with local Marketing team acting as Fraud Risk communication officer to ensure that customer awareness of fraud risks are kept high
• Provide direction and guidance on all aspects of fraud risk, provide SME input to new products and services ensure best practice is shared across business functions
• Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
