This position job holder operates within MSS Operations handled all phases of the trade lifecycle and is required to deal with both internal and external stakeholders. The Team not only serves MSS Ops daily activities but is also a central control component ensuring compliance of varied regulatory reporting and control. Scope of coverage includes but is not limited to FX, MM, specific local reference data maintenance, confirmation drafting, Margin events from CSA/GRMA monitoring, GL reconciliation and substantiation and the management of offshore services etc.
In addition to daily trade processing, the position holder will support project implementation as well.
· Daily trade processing, confirmation and settlement and daily cashflow projection to facilitate nostro funding management
· Investigation and resolving operational issues with both internal and external stakeholders
· Reporting on regulatory reporting, internal performance and control metrics
· Assisting with internal and external audits
· Performing End-of-day trade population checks
· Perform the required maintenance in systems reinforced in the duty of segregation from system and control perspective.
· Act a contact window of local owner of offshoring activities covering inter system reconciliation, client reference data, market data maintenance and own residual tasks onshore to execute the day to day supervision properly in line with the control standard and comply with the local regulation requirement.
· GL reconciliation and substantiation – serving independent control outside of core Operations and required minimum understanding in accounting principles and account purposes.
· Perform the static data maintenance and CSA/GMRA agreement setup in system and independent review of data quality check.
· Margin event monitoring and follow up with counterparties.
· Prepare management reports to seniors and inter stakeholders for review.
· Support project implementation on innovation around system automation, reporting, process or control.
Information
· BS degree in finance, economics, accounting, or relevant analytical major
· Related financial services experience, preferrable Treasury settlement / Operations related fields
· Issue resolution and problem solving skills
· Ability to multi-task and absorb information across a broad spectrum of products
· Comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization
· Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
· Team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Experience with identifying process and operational risk gaps, and subsequently devising controls and action plans to mitigate
· Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
· License of Bank Internal Control and Audit, and/or Securities Broking is a plus
· GPAD covered worker
