Role Purpose
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. In this role, you will:
Maintain and improve the delivery of “superior” customer service by working as directed by management to ensure that all work is processed and approved within PLA;
To ensure that all work is processed with guidelines and appropriate timescales in order to minimize operational risk and/or customer complaint;
To be aware of the nature of our customers business and alert any unusual transactions, to Line Management;
Ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything we do both personally and as an organisation by ensuring work is completed in accordance with established procedures and standards;
Ensure a high degree of accuracy in order to minimise operational risk;
Work productively and professionally. Demonstrate ways to improve customer service and increase productivity;
To ensure any errors are logged in an accurate and timely manner., and the appropriate analysis is undertaken in order to identify training issues and make the necessary recommendations for training/reinforcement sessions to Business trainers;
To ensure that learning curve and BAU targets are met. Escalating in a timely manner any areas of concern;
To develop ones self by expanding job and industry knowledge by ensuring all SELF training and e learning (Coastline) is completed within timescales;
Contribute to the creation of a supportive work environment driven by demonstrating HSBC values;
To identify best practice opportunities within the team and across TRF BS locations;
To provide support and guidance to new GTRF operational staff to ensure learning curves are met and BAU is reached on schedule.
Desired profile
Good International Trade experience and background required, in depth working knowledge of Trade business and industry standards such as UCP/ISBP/ ICC OPINIONS / URR/ URC;
Working knowledge of ICC Publications UCP600, URC522;
Good understanding the trade facilities and customer trade cycles;
Good understanding, applicable to the role, of the content and application of ICC rules as related to Documentary Credits and Collections and of internal control procedures;
Good knowledge of the systems/ applications used in Trade processing;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Excellent English (written and verbal) communication skills;
Minimum 12 months experience in TRF meeting all quality targets including NIL operational losses (Actual or Near Miss);
No compliance or regulatory breaches, no external errors or complaints across all queues;
Rotating shift: 9:00 to 20:30, monday to friday.
