We are currently seeking a professional and high performing individual to join our Melbourne team. This role play a essential part in the growth of HSBC Australia's Wealth Management business through the provision of service excellence that inspires customers to choose HSBC solutions to meet their financial needs.

An HSBC a Financial Planner is responsible for developing and growing a profitable client base by providing specialist advice in areas of insurance, superannuation, investments and retirement planning.

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Developing and maintaining diverse client relationships through effective portfolio management;
· Proactively identifying the best possible advice and appropriate product selection to match client needs;
· Building key stakeholder and referrer relationships within the branch;
· Managing sales activity and promoting cross-selling opportunities by actioning, progressing and tracking sales leads and referrals generated by other bank staff;
· Providing superior customer service and ensuring customer enquiries are handled promptly;

Desired profile

To be successful in this role, you will need:
·  Relevant tertiary qualification;
·  Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (RG146);
·  Minimum of 3 years Financial Planning experience;
·  Demonstrated success in building and managing your own portfolio of High Net Worth clients;
·  Cantonese or Mandarin language skills are beneficial
·  A demonstrated track record of fulfilling customer needs ;
·  Sound knowledge of the FOFA and Australian regulatory framework for providing financial advice;
·  Suitably qualified to provide advice in the SMSF segment;
·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively within a branch environment;
