Global Finance

Global Finance aims to provide HSBC with a professional, effective and responsive finance service that operates at optimal cost and employs a common and transparent global model.

We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of  Finance Manager .

Principal Responsibilities

·       Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements of the Bank and its subsidiaries for Board approvals and submission to regulators.

·       Prepare and/ or review financial returns for submission to regulators. Ensure data is accurate and submissions are timely.

·       Prepare analysis and commentaries on the Bank and its subsidiaries’ financial performance, including analysis on competitor banks’ performance.

·       Coordinate and manage requests from regulators, rating agencies and external auditors.

·       Support and implement new regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including performing gap analysis, liaison with stakeholders,

      implementing system solution, putting in place controls and governance process and ensuring successful implementation. 

·       Identify and support digital solutions as part of continuous streamlining of reporting processes.

·       To ensure adherence to HSBC Internal Control Standards, including timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors

      and external regulators.

Requirements

·          Minimum with Degree qualification. Possess 3 to 5 years of related knowledge and practical experience in financial reporting or related field.

·          Keep abreast of latest financial reporting and accounting development.

·          Possess strong analytical ability, problem solving skills and able to understand and address requirements from business or regulators impacting 

        finance.

·          Effective communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and maintaining strong working relationships with a wide variety of

        internal and external stakeholders.

·          Strong leadership and management ability.

·          Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Possessing the knowledge of Python/ Xceptor/ Qliksense applications will be additional advantage.

·          Adaptable to a dynamic environment and able to deliver consistent performance.
