Job description
The Finance Analyst - UK Revenue Analysis role is based within European Business Finance.
Finance Business Partner with responsibility for UK RBWM revenue and risk adjusted revenue analysis and providing finance support to all UK RBWM revenue supporting/generating activities.
The role spans multiple brands (HSBC, firstdirect & M&S) and multiple distribution channels.
Your responsibilities will include:
Finance Business Partnering responsibilities for UK Income.
Creation of monthly financial analysis on consolidated income, loan impairments, revised annual forecasts and Latest Estimates, Annual Operating Plans working across Business Partner teams.
Maintain revenue waterfall analysis and volume rate variance analysis to support control of volume value trade offs.
Support any financial analysis needed for Regulatory and Government reporting.
Support development of business strategy and maintain consolidated analyses of market shares of stock and flows across product line.
Support the UK team with any regulatory analyses of income as required by law, the FCA or the PRA.
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Financial modelling, Finance Business Partnering, Financial Analysis
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Although this role is based in 8CS there may be on occasion the need to travel to other locations for relevant business meetings.
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Retail Banking products is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Retail Banking / Financial Services is desirable but not essential
Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Professional Accounting/Finance Qualifications is desirable but not essential
Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. TM1 is desirable but not essential
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is desirable but not essential
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting
The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, London.
