Job description
The Finance Analyst Pricing role is based within Finance. European Business Finance.
The role of the Finance Analyst Pricing is to
Finance Analyst with responsibility for maintaining and interpreting outputs from Sherwood pricing models for retail products and other pricing models as appropriate in support of wealth or any other products not covered by Sherwood.
Support revenue generating activities and new business development through support of product control committees
Support the business to evaluate the business cases of pricing decisions
The role spans multiple brands (HSBC, firstdirect & M&S), Geographies within Europe and multiple distribution channels.
This role has a key opportunity to contribute to the success of Europe RBWM financial performance. Being a part of Business Finance, you are able to access opportunities within Finance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Business partnering responsibilities for product and proposition pricing decisions.
Maintain data used in Sherwood pricing models and ensure look back reviews carried out to quality assure pricing decisions made in Committee.
Liaise with Country/Brand RBWM Head of Business Finance, Product Finance Business Partners and Wealth Management Business Finance leads to improve the overall standard of reporting & analysis of pricing matters.
Support the implementation of change to improve reporting to better meet the strategic needs of the business.
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Retail Banking & Wealth products
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Retail Banking, Financial Services
Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Professional Accounting/Finance Qualification
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Financial modelling, Finance Business Partnering, Financial Analysis, Pricing
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Although this role is based in 8CS there may be on occasion the need to travel to other locations for relevant business meetings.
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking responsibility for outcomes
Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
Experience of successful budget management and use of numerical data to assesses and report on performance and/or identify business issues and opportunities
A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, London.
