Job description
Role Purpose:
The system will serve 2500 users and require high availability and high levels of robustness as suites a global investment bank.
DocMan is a large complex system with a high profile in the investment bank arm of HSBC.
There will be several workstreams under this programme of work which will all need to work closely together to ensure timely deliverables.
The Filenet Developer role involves design, develop, integrate, test, implement and support of a FileNet based document management system using WeWebU front end (DocMan) which will be used for secure document storage as part of the workflow tool.
The role will report to the DocMan Project Manager and the UK Workflow project manager and the incumbent will work closely with the IT development/test team, IT Server teams, IT Training, Compliance, Audit, IT Security Risk, Production Support, Desktop Support and Business User Support as well as with others also involved in workflow projects, as required
The successful candidate must have strong IT Development and 3rd party implementation experience within a global IT environment using an agile methodology.
Key Accountabilities:
· Working individually or within a team to design, develop, test and implement new features and new functionality of a document management system in accordance with the Client Selection project requirements, which will be integrated with the chosen workflow solution
· Delivering well-structured, maintainable and fully tested systems to time and budget.
· Building constructive working relationships with other IT departments and various business areas.
· Following HSBC Risk-Based Project Management (RBPM) and GB&GCF IT development methodologies to ensure successful project delivery with strict adherence to coding practices and the production of all necessary documentation
· Developing IT systems using approved Group technologies
· Escalate risks, issues and dependencies to Project Management.
· Monitor Continuous Integration builds and resolve/report failures.
· Ensure development team adhere to development processes and coding standards.
Management of Risk:
Responsible for the continual assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology.
Demonstrates compliance with HSBC Bank plc Group standards, manuals and policies and adheres to the defined work practices, internal controls and risk management standards associated with the role.
Observation of Internal Controls:
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business activities associated with the role, specifically HSBC Bank plc internal controls and compliance policies and manuals.
