Job description
The Executive Assistant role is based within UK Mid Market Enterprises (MME) Team based in 8 Canada Square, London.
The role of the Executive Assistant is to provide full administrative and secretarial support to Head of Mid Market Enterprises, and their direct reports, providing full administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Mid Market and any team admin support as and when required.
This role will be working within a demanding environment; the jobholder is involved in the full spectrum of work and/or issues dealt with by the Head of Mid Market. The jobholder interfaces with other Managers and Senior Management of all sectors of the bank and with external customers. This position is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, identifying and resolving queries on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Head of Mid Market, referring only when matters require policy decisions or are of a particularly sensitive nature.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Email and diary management: Prioritising and responding to correspondence on behalf of the Head of MME
· Organising and planning meetings and conferences. This will include logistics set up, preparation and collation of material, taking minutes, monitor and progress all action items as appropriate
· Supporting the team: Co-ordinating complex travel and accommodation requirements for the Head of MME as well as some of the team (when required)
· Ensuring tasks are organised and completed in accordance with procedures to ensure a consistent level of customer service.
· Building a network and developing enduring long-term relationships with a wide range of stakeholders who support & work alongside Mid Market Enterprises

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
· A track record of gaining an understanding of customers" needs and delivering excellent customer service
· Achieved targets and met expectations whilst supporting and encouraging others to do the same
· Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
· Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
· Planned projects and activities systematically in line with business priorities, using a variety of analysis and problem solving techniques
· A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have:
· Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Personal assistant / administrative support role
· Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Full Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Lotus Notes is desirable but not essential
· Consistently achieved objectives set for them and taken action to improve their own performance
· Self awareness with confidence to work independently and take responsibility for own development
· Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
· Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals
The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, London
We are required by the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 to create a ring-fenced bank in the UK by 1 January 2019. We will create the head office of our ring-fenced bank in Birmingham. This role may be relocated to Birmingham from 2017. Where the role holder is willing to move and it is practical to do so, the role may relocate before this time.
