Role Title: Equity Trading Strategy Frontend Developer

The Equity Trading Strategy IT team is a global team responsible for the delivery of a new strategic Execution, Market Making, Algo and Risk platform for use across the Equities business.
Role Purpose
· UI Developer for the Falcon project
Key Accountabilities
Working with the Head of the Falcon programme and joining a small and highly skilled development team in London to focus on delivering strategic tools and platforms for the global Equities business.
Working as part of London development team, the successful candidate will produce the UI layer for new Falcon Trading System. This includes working closely with the business to prototype and iterate the UI components and to produce a consistent brand across the app.
This role requires deep technical knowledge of HTML5 and UI frameworks along with the ability to design and deliver highly useable trading frontends
Desired profile
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
· 2 years HTML 5, 5 years JavaScript, 5 years CSS
· Experience working on large JavaScript code bases and complex SPAs
· Knowledge of React.js or other modern JS frameworks
· Graphics and UX tools and best practice highly desirable
· Proven experience of developing and delivering Listed trading systems using Web based technologies
· Strong communication and team working skills
· Experience of working closely with business users in a trading floor environment required
· Experience of providing technical direction to other frontend developers required
· Listed Equity products (Cash, Futures, Options, Baskets) required
· Must be able to work in a small IT team and maintain an excellent relationship with business users.
· Must be able to work independently as part of a highly distributed global team
