Job description
The Due Diligence & Transaction Execution Manager role is based within Corporate Banking Real Estate.
The role of the Due Diligence & Transaction Execution Manager will actively support a team of Real Estate Relationship Mangers (RERMs) in all transaction and execution dealings; to ensure consistent, high quality Due Diligence is undertaken, and that all transactions are executed in accordance with HSBC/Capital Markets quality, also responsible for the preparation of professional instructions, monitoring of/liaising with professionals throughout the transaction process, and all aspects of the pre/post approval process of RE transactions.
Your responsibilities will include:
The effective implementation of the UK CMB Real Estate Strategy.
Supporting a team of RERMs in all transaction and execution dealings; to ensure consistent, high quality Due Diligence is undertaken, and that all transactions are executed in accordance with HSBC/Capital Markets quality standards.
To work closely with RERMs in the Due Diligence process, preparation of professional instructions, monitoring of/liaising with professionals throughout the transaction process, and all aspects of the pre/post approval process of RE transactions.
Ensuring that all Real Estate policies, procedures and guidelines are consistently applied across the CSB Real Estate business and that the Bank’s property lending and reputational risk is effectively managed and controlled.
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Corporate Banking/Commercial Banking
Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Browser/CARM
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Excel/ Word
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Corporate Banking/ Commercial Banking is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Real Estate is desirable but not essential
Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is a articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
The base location for this role is London, Regent Street.
