Discretionary Product Specialist

The overall goal of the Discretionary Product Specialist is to facilitate the delivery and distribution of the Discretionary offering, through permanent contacts and interactions with all front office staffs and clients, in line with the local regulation, compliance and SQS rules.

What you will do:
The role is key in the delivery of investment solutions to our clients. It covers: client-facing, interactions with portfolio managers and other product specialists, very close collaborations with ICs and RMs. Impact is AUM growth and increased investment revenues through annuity fees.
In this role you will:
· To improve Discretionary solution knowledge within Private Bank through permanent contacts with Front Office and regular trainings and updates on our offering.
· To demonstrate and explain the added value of our Discretionary solutions when being implemented in client portfolio and to be able to articulate our competitive advantages.
· To deliver quality before and after-market sales assistance to RMs, ICs, current clients and prospective clients through meetings and conference calls. Partnering up and involving the Portfolio Managers as much as required.
· To lead efforts to integrate Discretionary solutions into regular sales meetings and presentations within the Private Bank
· To write Monthly Discretionary newsletter and provide ad hoc timely market commentaries on portfolio positioning/investment choices in the context of significant market events or price fluctuations.
· To lead, track and monitor product initiatives and on-going pitches.
· To build and maintain a solid overview of our AUM split by products, regions, RM/IC to be able to identify and address under penetrated area appropriately.
· To keep up to date on the Product Offering and maintain a good knowledge of Discretionary portfolio positioning / investment choices taken by the Portfolio managers by attending Investment meetings.
· To provide feedback to the Discretionary team about any identified gap in the offering and on our reporting/marketing material (as per stakeholder’s feedback) and contribute to ideas on improvement/streamlining.
Requirements
· Proven expertise on Discretionary solutions either through product specialist or portfolio manager roles
· Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships at all stakeholders
· Excellent organization with Multitasking abilities and attention to details
· Strong Microsoft Office skills: excel, visual basic, PowerPoint; Knowledge of Aladdin, Avaloq and Qlik sense would be an asset.
· Team player, high achiever, quick to learn, positive attitude
· Keen sense of urgency, high level of professional and personal integrity
· High capacity to handle stress
· High level of academic education, possibly combining solid marketing skills with Financial/Economics background. Solid knowledge on Equity is a plus.
· Fluent in English and French or German. Arabic would be an asset.
· CFA, CAIA or CIIA or equivalent would be an asset
