We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Director, Private Banking Operations.

Principal Responsibilities

Purpose of the job

To lead and manage PB middle office. PB middle office provides various operational services and controls to GPB Asia business including outsourcing monitoring, assurance checking, reconciliation controls, system UAT, project supports, operational improvement projects, regulatory changes and any growth initiatives including UHNW.

Responsibilities

·  Manage and lead PB middle office, a team of 7 staff
·  Attend various control and oversight meetings ensuring all SLA are met
·  Monitor reconciliation MI ensuring timely resolution of breaks between various systems and GL
·  Support business on new and strategic initiatives
·  Deliver bespoke services for UHNW
·  Continuing drive for services excellence and delivery within cost parameters
·  Drive for process and control improvement ensuring compliance to relevant rules and regulations

Requirements

·  Solid experience in private banking or investment industry
·  Well versed with investment products, accounting control and regulations
·  Good communication, both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin)
·  Work under pressure and often multi-tasked
·  Continuing drive for services excellence and delivery within cost parameters
·  Exposure to change / transformation projects / outsourcing
·  Able to work under diverse culture
·  Knowledge of customer tax reporting covering QI, FATCA and CRS
·  Avaloq system exposure a plus
