Role Purpose
Lead and execute a growth strategy in Transactional FX volumes across the EMEA region. Driving volume, profitability and strategy awareness through client acquisition, marketing, and relationship management (internal & external) efforts
Regional involvement with Transactional FX management.
Interface with key product and commercial stakeholders within CMB and GTB/PCM
Regional Product control for Transactional FX
Solutions sales specialist for client interaction.

Grow the institutional Transactional FX volumes across the region
Own the regional strategy for transactional FX, providing leadership and vision around this subject for key internal stakeholders and clients in the region
Working with existing PCM & GFX sales teams, originate new client relationships and increase market share
Increase wallet share and client satisfaction for existing relationships
Coordinate with global counterparts to ensure strategy is synergised
Ensure delivery of a cohesive, market leading service to clients
Promote an entrepreneurial, client lead approach within stakeholder groups.

Internal clients (PCM – Product & Sales / GFX – eDistribution & Sales / RM community)
External clients (direct clients and Channel partners)

Leadership & Teamwork
Increase awareness of Transactional FX and its value to the bank
Maximises value of e-Sales and e-Client Services resources
Creates effective working relationship and communication flow with CMB, PCM & GFX sales and product groups
Works in concert with global counterparts to promote e-commerce business and brand
Ability to communicate effectively with other stakeholders.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
Drive a sound, regional ‘go to market’ strategy for the client facing transactional FX proposition
Establishes procedures to eliminate or mitigate operational risk
Creates effective communication channels for employees to raise operational issues
Promote Transactional FX strategy awareness – specifically around the importance of centralisation
Manages client queries and concerns in a timely, effective manner
Management of Risk
Responsible for the continual assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology.
Demonstrates compliance with HSBC Bank plc Group standards, manuals and policies and adheres to the defined work practices, internal controls and risk management standards associated with the role.
Observation of Internal Controls
Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business activities associated with the role, specifically HSBC Bank plc internal controls and compliance policies and manuals.
Desired profile
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Comfortable in a start-up environment, pragmatic, proactive, entrepreneurial
Extensive experience within the region, ideally across multiple industry segments
Extensive experience within a multi-stakeholder, multi-buying group sales environment
Some knowledge of the European e-FX market and related industry contacts
Some knowledge of the payments landscape & FX markets
Knowledge of the contractual legal processes / Comfort with the interface between legal and commercial functions
Experience working closely with sales and support teams
Working knowledge of technology solutions, particularly the link between system and business value delivery
Experience within regional arm of global business
Some understanding of local and global regulatory environment.
