We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Digital Product Manager .

This role will be within the Digital Identity Sub Value Stream (DI SVS). The DI SVS are responsible for a suite of cutting-edge products supporting millions of customers every year, across multiple countries and journeys.
One of our most strategic products is our global digital identity validation & authentication platform that provides any market with the ability to verify a person’s identity, via an API integration. We combine world leading capabilities from some of the best third-party vendors in this sector with innovative internally built capabilities to deliver real time identity and anti-impersonation checks as part of a digital journey.
Our product enables customers to capture their government issued identity document (including passport, driver’s license, national ID card) and verifies the document’s authenticity. This is then combined with fully digital anti-impersonation check.
Our identity verification service is live across multiple markets and used by millions of customers across multiple journeys every year. There is a deep product roadmap which includes extensive data-driven optimisation of the product, creating new features, boosting the overall effectiveness of the platform and to deploying the solution across even more HSBC markets.
The Opportunity:
The Product Owner for HSBC’s digital identity verification service is a role for a customer focused, strong, experienced product professional.
As Product Owner, you are responsible for all aspects of the product delivery lifecycle.
You own the product backlog, managing priorities and defining clear short to mid-term targets for your scrum team. You work closely with product managers from your sub value stream. You will define requirements, goals and success metrics.
As a strategic thinker your focus is not only the existing product and its capabilities, but what is next. The role offers the ability to deliver both new product capabilities as well as incremental improvements to the existing core product.
Your strong stakeholder management skills will be vital as you will work with a vast cross section of consumers across multiple countries, business lines and levels of seniority. As a subject matter expert, you will be the person our various market consumers turn to, to understand the product and its capabilities.

Principal responsibilities
· Act as Scrum Product Owner for the delivery teams - support the management of the product roadmap for your product area and own your teams’ backlog
· Ensure the engineering teams have a set of well written, easy to understand user stories with comprehensive acceptance criteria.
· Be part of the front door process for all feature requirement asks coming into the team – understanding what can and can’t be built.
· Be the primary point of contact for markets to understand any questions they have on the product.
· Support the market activation process, when we roll the product out to new markets and new consumers.
· Work closely with the partners in technology to ensure technical requirements are practical and deliverable.
· Own the data from the product, including the ability to define requirements around analytics required to effectively measure your product after the launch.
· Work closely with vendors to help manage the relationship and understand what is possible from their technology to feed into your own roadmap.
Requirements
· Significant agile experience as a scrum product owner
· Prioritisation skills and ability to foresee and manage functional dependencies in your product backlogs.
· Overwhelming customer focus - you want to become the go-to person for your stakeholders.
· Strong ability to consume a lot of information and focus on the right detail. Experience with data analytics is a big advantage.
· Very strong ability to context switch at ease between different areas of the digital product lifecycle, across different teams and time scales.
· Ability to understand market trends and their impacts on business and customer needs and identify an end-to-end solution that is fit for customers and the business.
· Exceptional stakeholder management skills - strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Comfortable to be challenged by senior stakeholders on their own recommendations as well as to challenge others
· Understanding how software products are built by engineers using cloud technologies, such as AWS a is nice to have.
