Job description
The Digital Planning Specialist role is based within Digital Centre of Excellence, Retail Banking and Wealth Management.
The role of the Digital Planning Specialist is to lead Planning and Support activity for the Digital Centre of Excellence, providing contingency and deputising for the Digital Planning and Support Manager.
Accountable for budget management, from recharging to supporting Annual Operating Plan/Latest Estimate submissions. Management of third party augmentation model e.g. VRM and Statement of work renewal, including tracking of actual spend vs estimates.
Leading delivery of the Digital Orderbook through a variety of governance processes, maintaining superior quality at the lowest cost to the business – tracking and reporting on Digital COE deliveries.

Your responsibilities will include:
Leading Digital Centre of Excellence budget management and planning (LE/AOP)
Leading the activity required to manage third party relationships by working closely with procurement and legal partners including vendor risk management and contract renewals
Contributing to DCOE Planning & Support goals being identified, communicated, documented, agreed and delivered in the most cost effective manner.
Ownership for the digital small enhancement process, including reporting and chairing meetings with in-country
stakeholders
Leading portfolio management for all DCOE resources through constant review and sizing of Digital and multi-channel initiatives to inform resource profiles and plan forecasts,
Working collaboratively to support delivery of the Global Digital Objectives, through resource and budget planning and facilitation of prioritisation activity
Provision of a ‘best in class’ service for all DCOE customers by supporting customer engagement and governance processes, maintaining service excellence at all times
Collecting and distributing project and team performance metrics to improve quality of output, establish DCOE SLAs and KPIs, and achievement against these.
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Planning, Project Management Office and strong organisational background
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Clarity, Workflow Management and MS Office (in particular Excel)
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Digital, Change Management is desirable but not essential
A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better
A flexible and adaptable leadership style with experience of developing yourself and others
Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting
Experience of operational planning/management, understanding resource requirements in order to fulfill project delivery
Strong analytical ability and experience
- excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex data from a variety of sources, and to operate effectively where data is ambiguous or incomplete
Strong negotiation and relationship skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities
Pragmatic decision making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments and understand the implications
Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues.
The base location for this role is Leeds / London
