Digital Marketing, Budget and Control Manager

Job description

The role of the Digital Marketing, Budget and Control Manager is to support digital developments and content, supporting the online customer journey by leveraging all communication opportunities onsite to best effect. Develop engaging content, monitor and evaluate PWS / digital journeys to ensure online real estate is fully optimised to deliver digital customer satisfaction and maximise online leads. Work closely with Digital Marketing Managers to ensure the development of a suite of digital banners to be used to target customers in line with RBWM CVM strategies. Support social media initiatives.

Marketing Budget and Control

Day to day management of the Marketing budget and associated department costs (600D) - Staff costs, Travel and Training budgets. Reporting the Marketing spend at month end and to be able to provide flash forecasts when requested.

The role also directly supports the Channel Islands and Isle of Man (CIIOM) Head of Marketing for day-to-day team operations duties, including ensuring that all Marketing activities adhere to HSBC processes and procedures relating to the mitigation of financial and operational risk, and are compliant with local regulations and codes of practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Manage Business as Usual website changes. Digital banner management to support the optimisation of customer journeys, integrated marketing campaigns and lead generation.
· Depending on experience, manage the team's web analytics software and reporting
· Provide up to date budget tracking, measurement and reporting to ensure we are spending our Marketing budget in line with strategic goals and business objectives, putting appropriate controls in place to manage the budget.
· Ensure that all Marketing activities adhere to HSBC processes and procedures relating to the mitigation of financial and operational risk, and are compliant with local regulations and codes of practice.
· Proven financial understanding to enable strong working relationship with Finance and make sure we adhere to financial control requirements

Work across the Marketing team to ensure effective and timely invoice management and budget planning.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will have the below experience and qualifications:

· Previous marketing experience gained in-house or in an agency

· Achieved targets and met expectations whilst supporting and encouraging others to do the same

· Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered

· Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals

· Proven experience of successful project management, utilising relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery

· Demonstrated an ability to match products and services with clients' needs to generate sales in an ethical manner

In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have a track record of:

· 1 + years digital / website / social media marketing experience including writing and reviewing copy

· Marketing or Digital qualifications either at degree level or from professional bodies such as CIM (Customer Interaction Manager) or IDM

· Experience managing and implementing budgets, business processes and procedures

· Strong Excel skills and / or experience managing web analytics tools

The base location of this role will be Jersey.
