Department Overview:

The Market Operations Technology IT asset class is responsible for developing and supporting a range of different applications across multiple business lines. Applications developed and supported, in close partnership with Global Banking & Markets (GBM) business Operations teams, are mainly focused on post trade and middle office activities. The MOT asset class is responsible for applications that allow the business lines to undertake activities such as reconciliations, cash management, confirmation generation and matching, Settlement and payment, exception management, MI reporting and other critical business functions.

The MOT technology asset class is globally distributed with people working in India, China, UK, US, Canada and Mexico. There is also a range of different technologies used across the asset class.

Role

Working within an experienced global Production Services team, you will be responsible for the day to day running of Production Services for Reconciliations (TLM) applications within the MOT asset class and locally in India. The role will involve interfacing with a range of different technology and business stakeholders to ensure all the Utilities and Workflow instances are suitably supported and remain stable within the Production environment.

Main Duties:

· Hands-on and involvement in all Production incidents and problems. Should have a solid technology background (Oracle DB and WebSphere) to be able to resolve production incidents within the defined SLA's

· Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure the service provided to them is of quality and identify gaps for improvement. Conversant with Incident management process and able to handle crises.

· Coordinate with development resources on investigation and resolution of complex issues that would need code and/or other changes.

· Run problem management and be able to identify opportunities for continuous service improvements

· Work closely with development managers on change deployment and be able to assess the overall impact on the application. Should be conversant with the capacity management process.

· Work closely with risk and audit teams to ensure that all risks across the Reconciliation applications are fully understood and managed appropriately.

· Work with infrastructure, development and architecture technical teams to produce real time monitoring and informational dashboards for key system processes and flows

Mandatory Skills / Experience:

· 8-12 years of experience within Production Service teams

· Experience of working in an industry that runs and manages mission critical applications

· A solid understanding of database, middleware, storage and networking technologies

· A detailed understanding of technologies such as Java, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and operating systems including Windows, Linux and Unix

· A detailed knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps tooling and methods for continual improvement

· A working knowledge of the ITIL framework

· The ability to work under pressure and run a number of work streams in parallel

· The ability to communicate in a timely manner when incidents occur

Optional Skills:

· Prior exposure to SmartStream technologies

· Prior experience in managing Post Trade applications

Working Hours: Normally, 1300 - 2200 IST. These hours are likely to change based on the business demands and ongoing incidents.
