We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head. 

Business: Wholesale IT

 

Principal responsibilities

As an IT Solution Architect on the HK Business Banking team, you will be involved in our Business Internet Banking platform as well as Belong Banking areas in HK. The solution will also be extended to GBA area or even globally.

The primary purpose of the role is to deliver Architecture and Designs to meet the business requirements of Wholesale IT.

This role will support the Wholesale IT business projects and transformation programmes

·  End-to-end accountability for products or services, identifying and developing the most appropriate technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey.
·  Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction.
·  Creating and owning architecture deliverables as part of the project architecture team.
·  Contributing to the target architecture definition, strategy, roadmap and delivery.
·  Liaising with many geographically dispersed global teams to coordinate solution design, lead solution design decision.
·  Producing architecture artifacts to document solution design detail, design decision and technical debt.
·  Understanding the business and organizational context of the client engagement and using this knowledge to reduce risks.
·  Implementing proper architecture governance to project life cycle.
·  Ensure service resilience, service sustainability, and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.

Requirements

·  Experience as an architect to deliver complex solutions and data designs for distributed and high volume transactional systems preferably in financial areas
·  A track record of owning and delivering solutions across a broad spectrum of the project delivery lifecycle in involving mixed shore resources
·  The ability to communicate efficiently upwards (to business), downwards (to IT teams) and laterally (to peers, vendors, and client side staff)
·  Familiarity with technology concepts, roles, and terminology, and the ability to work closely with application architects and modelers
·  Experience building solutions on Distributed Technologies, Rest API’s & Microservices architecture
·  Well versed on Kubernetes, Containers, Docker, Java, Spring Boot frameworks
·  Familiarity with Front-end technology, (React JS, HTML5, Micro frontends etc.)
·  Familiarity with Mobile technologies, (Swift, Kotlin, etc.)
·  Familiarity with Cloud technologies (Google GCP, Microsoft Azure)
·  Familiarity with Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
·  10+ years of IT experience in financial industry, including 3+ years experience in IT architecture.
·  The ability to serve as an active participant in architecture groups and forums communicating solution strategy and design in conversation, documentation and presentations
·  Passion for technology & understanding how things work
