Role Purpose
· To support the Data Migration Programme Manager and Data Migration Analysts in delivering the migration activities by independently validating key data elements of the migration
· The Data Migration Technical Analyst will support the data migration of business to enable delivery of a TA platform for a strategic client. They will be accountable for independently validating all data within the scope of the requirements such that the migration is complete and accurate
Key Accountabilities
Impact on Business
· Work with internal and external stakeholders in documenting data reconciliation requirements for data migration needs.
· Assist in designing, planning, managing and delivering the data reconciliation process.
· Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data reconciliation activities.
Customers / Stakeholders
· Work with customers in gathering data reconciliation requirements
Leadership & Teamwork
· Work collaboratively with peers within the data migration workstream and other programme workstreams to consider impacts to reconciliation activities
· Teamwork with other Design Build & Support team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to peers and others; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team members accountable for results
Management of Risk
· Demonstrates compliance with HSBC Bank plc Group standards, manuals and policies and adheres to the defined work practices, internal controls and risk management standards associated with the role.
Observation of Internal Controls
· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business activities associated with the role, specifically HSBC Bank plc internal controls and compliance policies and manuals.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Essential:
· An experienced Oracle Analyst Programmer (7years +)
· Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills
· Strong data analysis skills
· Experience of Unit Grouping Calculations
· Previous migrations experience
· MS Excel
· Adept at analyzing and understanding new data models
· Excellent Communicator and Proactive Starter
· Deadline focused with the ability to take responsibility
Desirable:
· Understanding of Transfer Agency
· Previous Reconciliation Experience using SQL
· Performance Tuning
· Knowledge of Oracle Flexcube
