We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Data and Information Management Data Architect.
Principal responsibilities
Responsible for the development of the data management stores discovery reservoirs, data warehouses and DataMart’s, plus information management architecture delivery to support Digital, Customer Relations Management and Business Analytics for Retail Banking and Wealth Management, in accordance with the Data and Information Management guiding principles.
Leads and directs data and information architecture for Data and Information Management projects across conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional and semantic layers
Provide expertise in use of Data Integration, Metadata and Information Management tools for solving data integration problems as well as supporting strategic architectures.
Support the Enterprise Data Modeling process Conceptual, Logical, Physical and Semantic on various data platforms including Hadoop.
Define and govern the reference architecture, guiding principles, standards and patterns for development and data access teams
Provide support to the Data Functional Design Authority and Architecture review processes that will examine all project designs for alignment to target state architectures, guiding principles, and standards.
Oversees implementation of data and information management solutions as well as facilitate continuous improvement of use and effectiveness of data model implementations.
Engage with numerous data and information architecture related initiatives to guide requirements, development of solution, and provide necessary oversight for conformance with data and information architectural standards.
Desired profile
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Business or Arts is required, Master's degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred.
Experience in Data Architecture and Modeling in Data and Information Architecture and Data Warehousing
Practical experience with Big Data technologies and Architecture.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Business or Arts is required, Master's degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred
Experience building multiple Logical Data Models, both custom and industry banking models.
Experience designing and supporting a multi-terabyte Data Warehouse using Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop or DB2.
Requires technical understanding of key aspects of current architectures regarding Data Integration, service-oriented architecture, Master Data Management, Metadata, Data Warehousing, Reporting and BI product suites.
Experience with data security and privacy architecture is critical.
Requires extensive understanding of Data Warehousing, Active Data Warehousing, Operational Data Stores, Data Integration, Reporting and BI technologies.
Experience achieving objectives in a large organization including influencing and negotiating with senior management.
