What you will do: 
Data Analyst chapter is structured to address end-to-end business needs. Members of this chapter are differentiated by their capability of providing the required consultation & work with end-business by way of assessing the requirements, identifying the right solution that can solve for the business problem, and developing the same for execution – often covering areas of business growth, improving customer experience, limiting risk exposure, enhancing internal business processes etc. They are required to, as necessary, embed agile & exploratory practices into their approach as needed, and retain the flexibility to change track to adopt other solutions based on changed scenarios, to deliver on effective results. This talent group can be tapped into for providing solutions for varying areas including improving existing processes, technology, and approaches by embedding exploratory & analytics & taking it forward with a consulting mind set.

In this role you will:

·  Managing senior business stakeholders. Understand business challenge and convert to data solution 
·  Participate in design of data solution along with senior product owners 
·  Manage a team of data analyst. Distribute work to teams. Ensure projects executed as per timeline 
·  Ability to convert business problem to an analytical problem 
·  Understanding of HSBC system and participate in shaping data strategy for HSBC Wholesale business 
·  Providing high-quality analysis and recommendations to business problems 
·  Manage delivery within agreed timelines and as per agreed quality standards; also drive business benefit through self-initiated projects 
·  Act as an SME/consultant on a functional area, conceptualize solution for the business problem at hand for multiple businesses/region 
·  Focus on driving efficiency gains and enhancement of processes 
·  Partner with the business effectively to drive data driven decisions and generate value 
·  Use of data to improve customer outcomes through the provision of insight and challenge 
·  Also drive business benefit through self-initiated projects

Conditions

You should apply if you have: 

·  Master’s degree from reputed university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other quantitative fields 
·  Experience in managing large team of data professional and senior stakeholders 
·  Excellent Project Management skill is required 
·  Experience in managing significant data volume with in-depth knowledge of relational database management along with Consulting experience in the data analytics domain 
·  Thorough knowledge in SQL and Python must. Having knowledge/experience in Pyspark would be preferred. Knowledge of SAS is a plus 
·  Knowledge of Big Data is required and knowledge in Google Cloud Platform or any On-Prem and corresponding tooling solutions would be preferred 
·  Advanced knowledge of MS Excel including macro based excel sheets 
·  Strong analytical skills with business analysis experience or equivalent 
·  Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations preferred 
·  Advanced capability in translating complex and/or technical work and insights into straightforward business language 
·  Excellent interpersonal skills with highly developed capacity to constructively challenge and influence management 
·  Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and innovative solutions 
·  Besides strong written and verbal communication skills the incumbent is also expected to have strong presentation skills
