CDD specialist – Business Oversight FCR

This position will play a vital role in performing a variety of activities to support the Know Your Customer (KYC) function including identification of high risk client types, conducting enhanced due diligence reviews on existing clients, periodic and event driven reviews/updates to Know Your Customer (KYC) records and assisting with other business initiatives.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

· Perform enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews of all assigned high risk customers.
· Document EDD review findings and supporting documents in the appropriate systems including all pertinent facts and information.
· Complete EDD reviews in a timely and efficient manner.
· Identify potential risks or issues and provide feasible solutions and alternatives.
· Suggest process enhancements and/or research tools to increase efficiency and/or accuracy.
· Review, resolve and/or escalate any alerts or other adverse news screens.
· Adhere to processes and controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensure timely escalation of control issues and reputation risks.
· Maintain awareness of regulatory updates and incorporate process and procedural changes into the EDD review process as directed by management.
· Understand and analyse solutions provided by delivery partners to ensure integrity of solution and any risk or impact is manageable
· Maintain HSBC internal control standards and addresses audit points and/or any issues raised by regulators in a timely manner.
· Perform other related assignments /tasks as assigned.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you will need:

·  Degree qualification is preferable
·  2+ years working experience in Banking or Financial services
·  Good knowledge on products and processes in Retail Banking, in particular on customer KYC and KYB Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions
·  Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
·  Excellent researching and time management skills with strong focus on attention to detail
·  A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment
·  Thorough understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends
·  Ability to research and manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously
·  Strong PC skills,
·  High degree of credibility and integrity
