We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. 

Business: Wholesale Technology

Principal responsibilities

·  Familiar with a couple of different languages, and well-versed in at least one.
·  Use the latest cloud technologies, processes and tools to deliver frequently, safely and efficiently.
·  Keen to collaborate with others, and you’ll give thought about how software fits into the bigger picture.
·  Experienced in Continuous Delivery practices and how they affect product quality and delivery.
·  Experienced with a range of agile practices and understand how and why they work.
·  Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
·  We promote a DevOps culture so you will need to look beyond pure programming and get involved with the deployment and operation of the software we build.
·  Be able to demonstrate you can manage, lead, motivate, mentor and coach teams of Engineers.
·  Have strong experience building highly productive teams of technically talented engineer.

Requirements

·  Be hands-on expert in the following AWS technologies.
·  Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
·  Implement and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.
·  Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.
·  Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform.
·  Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes.
·  Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language.
·  Experience building highly automated infrastructures.
·  Experience administering operating systems.
·  Understanding of modern development and operations processes and methodologies.
·  Demonstrable experience of designing for security.
·  Demonstrable experience of designing for failure.
·  Demonstrable experience of facilitating solution design workshops.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss technical detail with business stakeholders.

Tools / Methodologies

·  Source Control (like Git, Bitbucket, Svn etc).
·  Continuous Integration (like Jenkins, Bamboo).
·  Infrastructure Automation (like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
·  Deployment Automation & Orchestration (like Jenkins, VSTS, Octopus Deploy).
·  Container Concepts (LXD, Docker).
·  Orchestration (Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm).
·  Experience of working in an Agile and DevOps environment.
