The CLS/PFM Liquidity Manager role is based within UK Payment Services.
The role of the CLS/PFM Liquidity Manager is to manage and manipulate HSBC Bank Plc.’s liquidity (collateral at the Bank of England and Dutch Central Bank), necessary for the timely settlement of Sterling and Euro Interbank and Commercial payments to other global financial institutions. This is facilitated over the CHAPS system for Sterling and TARGET2/EBA for Euro's and the CREST system for both. The CLS main role is to manage the timely settlement of all HSBC and Nostro customers' Sterling/Euro and other CLS currency payment obligations to/from CLS Bank.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing HSBC's liquidity within CHAPS, Target2 and EBA EURO1
Managing HSBC's CLS obligations

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of CLS, CHAPS, TARGET2
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Payments
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Payments
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Office
A full, valid driver's license
Availability to work the shift pattern required for this role, i.e. the operational hours of the team are 0530-2000 (operating via a 3 shift system on a weekly basis), including all UK Bank Holidays with the exception of 01JAN and 25DEC.
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of CLS, CHAPS, TARGET2 is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Sound knowledge of liquidity management is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. A good understanding of the Payments business areas is desirable but not essential
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. CLS Officer, and/or Liquidity Manager is desirable but not essential
Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Liquidity Savings Mechanism is desirable but not essential
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Microsoft Office is desirable but not essential
