Purpose Role
The job holder is required to ensure high level and professional client service standard for all Direct Custody Clearing (DCC) clients. DCC Clients are largely US, Europe and Middle East based Global Custodians / Broker dealers. The Client Service Manager is responsible for servicing the overall client relationship within the assigned portfolio and must contribute to the establishment and maintenance of the HSS reputation for service excellence in the product lines within HSS. Client Management is a key differential feature within the highly competitive custody industry and it is therefore imperative that the highest levels of client service is delivered and maintained.
Performance in this key area and is reflected via internal and industry surveys and any perception of deterioration in client service will have a significant impact on both business retention and the ability to win new business.
Contribute to the profitability and growth of the HSS client base by delivering an excellent client service experience and striving to enhance existing institutional relationships through improved service and reputation that attracts new clients.
Principle Accountabilities
· Develop and enhance relationships with key client stakeholders, understanding each client's business goals and key initiatives.
· Become the reliable point of contact for each client that is required to establish a strong business relationship
· All Due Diligence Questionnaires, Request for Proposals and Service Level Agreements are responded timely and accurately. Interaction with Central Relationship teams in Hong Kong, London and New York
· Ensure the Market Guide is up to date with current market practices and assist in preparing market product documents.
· Proactively send out all new market developments via Broadcasts and News briefs.
· You will also be in involved in MENA Regional projects
· Co-ordination of client due diligence visits and assist in preparation and delivering market presentations to clients in a professional manner.
· Maintain good relations with Qatar Exchange, Qatar Central Securities Depository, Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) and the other market participants.
· Actively contribute to client centric initiatives both regionally and locally.
· Reporting and other activities including specialized client reporting, working with others on interfacing with Compliance, Audit, Risk and Legal, as well as to assist with and help respond to client specific requests.
· Ensure that we proactively market HSS to all potential clients. Develop a comprehensive understanding of HSS' clients and to assist in identifying business development and growth opportunities
· Conduct Annual reviews of the assigned client portfolio from a Client Risk perspective
· Ensure compliance with the Money Laundering Deterrance Program - Group Policy and Procedures (GPPs) as well as local AML legislation and regulations including Qatar Central Bank /Qatar FIU.
· Information Security Responsibilities
· Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
Desired profile
Experience Skills & Knowledge
Essential
· Knowledge of custody and securities services industry
· Customer Services management experience
· Experience in both client facing and back office roles
· Team player with good influencing and negotiating skills
· Ability to work in a pressurized environment and manage priorities effectively
· Ability to apply innovative solutions to resolving client demands
· Excellent communication skills / written documentation
· Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
· Excellent time management and prioritization of work tasks
· Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capabilities
· University Degree
Desirable
· 2 years of experience as a Client Services Manager with HSBC Securities Services
· Bilingual – Fluency in English (mandatory) Fluency in Arabic (preferable)
