Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. Our dedicated colleagues serve millions of customers worldwide across the entire spectrum of private wealth, ranging from personal banking for individuals and families, through to business owners, investors and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. We provide products and services such as bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as asset management, insurance, wealth management and private banking, that best suit our customers’ needs.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role, you will:
• Provide multi-jurisdictional client support to HSBC's Relationship Management and Acquisition teams and facilitates client review, renewal, maintenance and exit activities across all HSBC products
• Deal with basic documentation issues, and maintain client forms up to date, providing status update on documentation required as and when requested by Account Manager, or Relationship Manager, including ensuring that all forms are registered by CLM/DOCO in a timely fashion
• Undertake day to day banking operations as and when requested (e.g. covering debits, checking standing orders are implemented correcttly, pulling lists/reports, adhoc reports) based on client requirements
• Ensure all client queries are handled in an accurate and timely fashion to ensure maximum client satisfaction (e,g, preparation of statements, tax returns requests, historical information)
• Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
• Protect the Bank by acting as First Line of Defence and observe all controls
Desired profile
Qualifications :
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Completed qualification from a commerce school or a University Degree in Business Administration, economics or management;
• For a graduate from a business / commerce school, two years of experience;
• Further professional certificates are a plus and can be a requirement for a senior CSE role.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Arabic would be an asset
• Good communication skills with good level of customer experience;
• Strong organisation skills and a clear sense of urgency and prioritization with a focus on customer needs and solutions oriented thinking;
• Attention to the details and precision in particular when processing transactions.
• Understanding of how a private bank functions as far as transaction processing, customer documentation, cross border rules, financial crime compliance and account opening.
• Team player and spirit is a must.
• Computer literate with strong knowledge of programmes such as word, excel and power point, and ideally Avaloq (training provided)
