Role Title: Client Relationship Mgmt - Acquisition

Role Purpose
· Undertake the onboarding of offshore trusts, companies and other private client structures in a timely, efficient manner ensuring that PWS Jersey is considered one of the key PWS booking centres thereby assisting the business meeting AOP

· Manage, under supervision, the onboarding of new business in a way that:
· Contributes to operating income targets
· Maintains high levels of productivity and efficiency
· Maximise referrals of business to PWS
· Protects promotes and enhances HSBC's reputation

· Wealth Planners, trust teams, clients and other introducers of business
Leadership & Teamwork
· To work effectively within the BIU team
Operational Effectiveness & Control
· Maintain standards of service consistent with a leading Private Client Trust business premier private bank whilst protecting the business interests.
Major Challenges
· The jobholder must have knowledge of private client structures and local compliance requirements. They must be competent and accurate with data / figures and have good organisational and time management skills. As part of the BIU team they should have good interpersonal skills, be able to work well under time pressure and to deadlines.
Role Context
· With support of the BIU Head and BIU Trust Manager the jobholder is required to undertake the onboarding of offshore private client structures principally trusts and companies, carrying out a variety of tasks in line with PWS procedures including :-
· Ensure all internal guidelines/standards/processes are complied with relating to the take on of new business including
· That new business is taken on in a compliant manner meeting PWS standards, ensuring complete new business pack collecting any outstanding data required
· Complete NBIS system.
· Pre compliance check of New Business file and advise BIU / Trust Manager of Any requisite information outstanding
· Completion of Special Category Client forms if applicable
· Input new business on NAV and send for approval.
· Completing of FATCA/CRS tools
· Post compliance approval
· Open internal bank accounts with PBCI
· Prepare acceptance of trusteeship minute
· Open files
· Confirmation fee letter to client to be signed by TM
· Such other processes as are required all to be done within agreed business timescales and with accuracy.
· In addition undertake other administration functions of the BIU department such as NBIS (new business reporting system) and monthly new business reports for finance.
Role Dimensions
· As per B signatory limits authorised by HSBC Trustee (C.I) Limited.

· Is aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
Observation of Internal Controls
· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
· Minimum of 2/3 years experience in a related position within a Trust company environment
· Has obtained or is in the process of completing the Certificate in Offshore Administration
