The role of the Client Onboarding Officer is to provide a highly professional Onboarding service working closely with Corporate Banking Relationship Managers to open all new accounts and associated facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
To assist CMB Commercial and Corporate team to grow the business by 20% pa by delivering a world class Onboarding service. The majority of work will come from our CMB Trust & Intermediary team.
Ensure all Account opening paperwork is prepared / processed to the required standard and within the agreed Service Level Agreements.
Be proactive and show initiative to resolve all issues within own area of responsibility, challenging when appropriate, and referring to colleagues/compliance when required.
Provide appropriate help and guidance to all Relationship Managers, particularly the Trust & Intermediary team.
To continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
Desired profile
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. customer driven
Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. customer focused
Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of commercial products is desirable but not essential
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. commercial banking is desirable but not essential
A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service
Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading
activities to achieve shared goals
A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
Used their business knowledge and understanding of customer needs to successfully manage and grow customer relationships
In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have experience of planning and and prioritising their own time effectively, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently.
The base location for this role is Corporate Banking Centre, Jersey
