CICS Systems Administrator

Job description

· Install / Upgrade CICS Releases, TS5.3) and program products, RSU maintenance, and PTFs using SMP/E.
· CAFC administration with applications to define their datasets.
· CPSM administration including definitions, monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting.
· Create and maintain RDO entries and definitions and provide performance and tuning.
· Build and configure new CICS regions including DB2 and MQ connectivity.
· Infrastructure design for distributed application integration with the mainframe using MQ and CTG.
· Configure CICS regions for CICS Web Support and Web Services.
· Problem resolution with application programmers including application and system dump analysis.
· Remediate any open audit items and proactively address any security risks and track the tasks
· Comply with CICS Security Standards and create and maintain system documentation.
· Disaster recovery and business continuity exercises and planning.
· On call support.
· Change, Problem and Incident management using HP Service Desk and CA Service Desk.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline preferred.
·  8-12 years of relevant work experience.
·  Provide primary technical support (install, customize, upgrade, administration, problem resolution, disaster recovery etc).
·  Demonstrate skills in working with Problem/Change Management Systems.
·  Strong communication skills to prepare presentations for management.
·  Leverage automation on any critical CICS error checking and recovery
·  Understand advanced clustering technologies, such as Parallel Sysplex®, and the ability to share data among multiple systems.
·  Will be part of an integrated support team of MVS technical experts.
