Job description
Provides financial, reporting, project management and/or operational support for assigned area of the Company, ensuring timely and accurate responses to business and/or functional unit needs.
Impact on the Business
· Provide financial, reporting, project management and/or operational support for assigned area of the Company.
· Meet with business and/or functional management to discuss and respond to their needs for financial, reporting, project management and/or operational support. Assist in development and/or maintenance of related plans, budgets, timeframes, reports and presentations as appropriate.
Leadership & Teamwork
· Coordinate activities with other areas of the Company as required to ensure smooth implementation of new and/or enhanced processes, procedures, reports, etc.
· Ensure timeliness and accuracy of responses, adherence to internal policies and external regulations and maximized contribution to economic profit.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
· Identify opportunities to automate or modify activities or procedures to increase efficiency and maintain a competitive advantage.
· To implement the Group compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Global Business Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
· Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Role Context
This position is found in one of the following areas:
· Collections – monitors and maintains the predictive dialer system to support collections activities within a multi-shift schedule, seven day a week operation. Analyzes and forecasts trends in call volumes, staff productivity and resource allocation. Compiles various dialer reports and as needed requests for management. Identifies and analyzes system problems.
· External Recovery – conducts internal and external audits of collection agencies and attorneys to ensure compliance with state, Federal and Company regulations and policies. Serves as liaison between the Company and outside agencies to communicate goals and promote their efforts to achieve them. Provides representation in court proceedings as necessary.
· Check Processing Project Management – participates in and provides support for projects of an operational and systems nature to support check processing operational and technical activities. Ensures timely and accurate responses to project managers, while complying with established regulations.

Management of Risk
· Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
Observation of Internal Controls
· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Desired profile
This position requires an individual with:
· Minimum of two years proven project management and/or business reporting/analysis experience supporting assigned businesses or functions, or equivalent.
· Minimum of an Associates degree in business, related field or equivalent experience.
· Proven problem-solving, analytical, communications, project management, planning organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages.
· Ability to deal with all levels of personnel, exercise discretion on confidential matters and work independently.
