Role purpose

  Monitoring BB lending portfolio for early sings of stress leading to delinquency through various MIs being circulated by WMR, COO and generated within BB. Assisting BB Asset Head in evaluating NTB lending transaction for quality portfolio built up. Keep track of changes in compliance matters related to BB lending portfolio and engage in projects for implementation of them.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

·       With endeavor to have NIL cases in SMA-1 and SMA-2 category, keep track on early delinquency in lending portfolio for overdue cases beyond 10 days with follow up with front line business team and regular update to senior management.

·       Conducting monthly portfolio monitoring activity with each region and WMR to detect early warning signs of delinquency, breach of approval conditions and review of overall conduct.

·       Keep track of annual review cases through weekly calls with respective regions and WMR for timely review cases submissions and their clearance.

·       Co-ordination and follow up with COO team and front-line business team for SMA-2 cases and representation of case details in Stressed Account committee.

·       Assisting COO team in implementation of compliance/regulatory requirements related to lending business with co-ordination with various stakeholders.

·       Keep track of changes during the year in process and policy to incorporate the same during annual refresh of product papers and CDD policy.

·       Conducting weekly calls for NTB Judgmental Lending cases evaluation and circulating minutes of the call with critical observations and suggestions on additional due diligence.

·       Assisting BB Asset Head on matters related to product development, automation of existing processes  and other activities related to front line business team communication for changes and other up-dation.

·       Always maintain audit readiness of the lending portfolio with respect to existing and new provisions implemented.

·       Conduct sectoral portfolio analysis based on suggestions from stakeholders and seniors.

Functional Knowledge

 

·       Overall understanding of lending business with perspective on sourcing, underwriting and monitoring

·       Knowledge of deriving trend of portfolio behavior based on industry update based on sound analytical skills.

·       Ability to keep track of cases under delinquency through effective follow up with RMs/TLs for its resolution.

·       Continuous co-ordination with various stakeholders to pick up early trends on portfolio behavior.

·       Experience of steering effective virtual and in-person meetings to achieve the pre-determined objectives.

·       Interest on development around SME sector in nation and changes happening in industry, regulatory changes and major player movement.

·       Networking in industry to identify good practices being followed.

Requirements

·       Experience for working in lending business in BB – SME segment.

·       Quick grasping on the system functionality and reporting structures to effectively monitor portfolio.

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with seniors as well as front line team.

·       Ability to identify risk areas on portfolio behavior and forming strategy for improvement.

·       Ability to clearly articulate the requirement, prioritizing and escalation where require on continuous basis.

·       Graduation/Post graduation degree, preferably CA
