Global Service Centres

Our Global Service Centres are an integral part of Global Operations. Employees based there manage day-to-day customer transactions and processes for the global businesses. This may include transactions for our retail bank such as processing loans, credit cards, insurance and mortgage applications, opening new accounts, and managing customer enquiries through contact centres and digital platforms.

Employees in the Global Service Centres also run and manage operations for commercial bank customers. This includes processing credit applications, facilitating payments and managing the import and export transactions that enable customers to protect and grow their businesses through international trade.

Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role)

To gather, identify and document business requirements for Procurement data team deliverables, supporting the users in drawing out clear and concise requirements

·
Understand business needs relating to a change request or new development, and being able to translate these requirements simply to the technical and non-technical users.

·
Work to an Agile methodology, ensuring deliverables are prioritized effectively.

·
Focus on improvements in data management and data quality to support global information management reporting, compliance, and business strategy initiatives.

·
Drives the development of data driven analyses to manage growth, streamline existing processes for all stages of the Procurement lifecycle, supporting all initiatives.

·
Oversee the implementation, testing, and deployment of solutions to business

·
Ensuring end to end documentation and all agreed data artefacts (Functions, Specifications, BRDs) are complete, accurate and fit for purpose, maintaining Process and Procedure documents.

·
Monitor adherence to data management standards and governance

·
Build good relationships with peers and stakeholders.

·
Support, drive and implement given strategies (immediate and long-term) aligning to Group/Region/Country objectives.

·
Support business transition and help to establish change, managing the acceptance of all agreed deliverables by the business requestor.

·
Complete all service desk calls within agreed SLA.

·
Completes all tasks allocated by Line Manager within agreed timelines

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Business Analyst, GSC's. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas

Interfaces with the business, ensuring full understanding of requirements and ability to translate technical and non-technical requirements for the appropriate user group

·
Data analysis skills with ability to analyze the provide data driven analysis to support all deliverables

·
Ensures the delivery of information to support the strategic and tactical information needs of change.

·
Ensuring compliance with HSBC Group company policies and procedures, including regulatory requirements.

·
Maintain equipment, systems and general work environment in good condition, adhering to all appropriate procedures.

·
Validate and monitor the success of new developments and changes to support analysis of business benefits

·
Manage all risks ensuring the appropriate recording and monitoring of risk mitigation

Customers / Stakeholders:

·
Support users in ensuring correct requirements are recorded, impact assessed and developed to specification

·
Co-ordinate communications between the data team and all stakeholders

·
Effective communication with other Procurement teams, local Senior management to ensure alignment of objectives and requirements

·
Recommend new or improved processes or systems which support HSBC's strategic pillars

·
Proactively identify problem situations and resolve to give maximum customer satisfaction. Escalation used only where necessary.

·
Establish and maintain effective high-level relationship with customer business areas and identify areas of service improvements.

Continuously review key risks and proactively institute controls in place to address the same.

Continually assess the operational and data risks associated with the role and inherent in the business and its processes.

Ensure that issues/problems are fully analyzed and resolved within reasonable time scales. Appropriate action is taken to prevent recurrence where necessary. Major issues identified and recorded / reported appropriately.

·
Procedural changes / new initiatives are fully communicated to and implemented by the teams under control.
