Overview
TREATS is a Treasury Back Office System.  It is an HSBC in-house developed application that runs on iSeries computers.  It supports the front to back processing of Treasury products such as Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Vanilla Derivatives and Fixed Income.
The London TREATS Development Team currently comprises a team of several Business Analysts (BAs) in the UK, and a team of Technical Developers in Hong Kong (HK) and Guangzhou China (GLTc).  The Team are primarily responsible for development on the London TREATS BOS and the TREATS in Europe applications.
The BAs may are required to be the key link between the UK/European users and the HK/GLTc developers.
 
Role Purpose
To work with the business, other members of the IT departments, and the TREATS Development Team in Hong Kong and GLTc to analyse, document, test, and implement IT solutions.
Actively support IT Relationship Management teams and their business partners
Create logical and innovative solutions to complex problems;
Translate client requirements into highly specified structured project briefs;
Work closely with stakeholders, developers, architects and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
Maintain full and up-to-date understanding of the business strategy, current practices and system capabilities;
Manage expectations of the systems users and the business functions when proposed system enhancements have to stand the scrutiny of cost/benefits analysis and justifications;
Present proposals to clients;
Initiate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business contacts;
Create test scenario’s and manage the test execution in integrated system tests;
Develop expert-level understanding of major local systems;
Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars), internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour

Desired profile

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Business Analysis experience on IT projects and/or programmes.
Strong knowledge of Treasury products/processing.
A background in system development lifecycle methodology techniques and documentation.
Proven record of project delivery in a change management project.
Ability to quickly react to changing requirements/demands.
Flexible and positive attitude to change.
