Role Purpose
· The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for working with key stakeholders regionally and globally to support the delivery of globally consistent performance standards on business management. Reporting into the Head of Business Management and working closely with other members of the Business Management function, as well as members of the wider Digital Chief Controls Office (COO team), the Business Operations Manager will be responsible for:
· Ensuring Business Management have a clear operating model and approach in implementing business management practices globally
· Supporting agenda and material preparations for key Digital Offsite presentations, Townhalls and Leadership sessions
· Support delivery of Chief Operating Officer ‘special projects'
· Support promotion and communication of the Digital COO Ways of Working and key processes to establish a scalable and efficient delivery model ensuring a consistent agile approach across all teams
· Support in the development of business management KPIs, tracking, reporting and recommendations for improvement with Digital COO
· Seek opportunities to integrate, simplify and streamline Business Management activity within Digital
· Supporting / leading any ad hoc projects
· Act as point of escalation for content into the global digital business, with projects ranging up to $30m in spend and global oversight across 3 regions of ASP / EMEA and AMERICAS
· Provide tools and required support to enable local entities and global business to reach specified targets in

· Demonstrate an awareness of needs of the Business, facilitating engagement with the DaaC functions to provide innovative solutions to issues
· Become a Champion for change to inspire stakeholders, anticipating their future needs and facilitating a roadmap that delivers technical and process-based solutions to content needs
Management of Risk
· Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory & Compliance matters. Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section B.1.2 of the Group Operations FIM.
Observation of Internal Controls
· Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators. Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, and optimising relations with regulators.
