Role Overview
To support the Operations Manager, Banking Operations (Wholesale and Consumer) by ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of Banking Operations in Business Services Qatar. Banking Operations supports the operations of Account opening and maintenance, KYC reviews and Tax. Below are the core tasks, and is not limited to same. The job holder is also expected to multi-task where necessary, within the team.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Operational checker for Account opening, Account closing and all Account services (for both Consumer and Wholesale)
· External Auditor responsibilities on Quality achieved by the offshore team.
· Client due diligence (CDD) operational responsibilities as defined by the Global Standards program.
· Support the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard program.
· Provide Governance and Operational Support to daily Operations for both onshore and off shore teams.
· Identify Streamlining opportunities, cost saving opportunities and support Business transformation programs.
· Support implementation and embedding of all new Business Product Procedures and Regulatory requirements.
· Support Global Regional and Country initiatives. Support the “IDEA” initiative.
· Support Control monitoring where required and ensure all shortfalls are remediated within agreed time frames.
· Coordinating the preparation and validation of the Management information and reporting to Country and Region.
· To maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
· Ensure adherence to Internal Procedures and regulatory framework at all times.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
·  Minimum College degree or equivalent.
·  Good communication skills in English (Arabic an advantage).
·  Good presentation skills.
