Job description

Principal Accountabilities
· Handling production incidents
· Understanding the application functionality and supporting production incidents
· Collaborates with vendor development/support team for issue resolutions
· Plan, track and update incidences in tool
· Management of deliveries received from vendors and elevation cycle in various development and production environments
· The role requires some facing off to the business and IT team based in UK, India, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Manila. Liaise closely with Business, ensuring issues are fully resolved to satisfaction of business.
· Role will require to have the domain knowledge of asset servicing (corporate actions) for efficient 3 rd line functional support and execution of other application related BAU activities.

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications
· Experience on TCS BaNCS Corporate Actions product is highly desirable OR at least hands on experience in banking industry, ideally asset servicing(Corporate Actions)
· Hands-on SQL skills
· Working experience with IBM WebSphere
· Working experience with unix commands and scripting
· Strong system and business analysis skills with excellent knowledge of project life cycle and application development/deployment process
· Basic knowledge of ControlM
· Good troubleshooting skills
· Good command over written and spoken English and able to express thoughts clearly.
· Prior experience of working in/with global teams would be an added advantage
· Strong analytical and effective skill
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels in the business
· Self-motivator, able to work alone but also able to understand when to ask for help
· Flexible to work in shifts

Management of Risk

Responsible for the continual assessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technology.

Demonstrates compliance with HSBC Bank plc Group standards, manuals and policies and adheres to the defined work practices, internal controls and risk management standards associated with the role.

Observation of Internal Controls

Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business activities associated with the role, specifically HSBC Bank plc internal controls and compliance policies and manuals.
