Job description



Responsible for delivery of major global analytics projects and productivity tool development within Financial Crime Compliance - Global Risk Analytics (FCC GRA). Maintains all business definitions and AML Compliance usage for data used from source system to AML Compliance monitoring tools. Engage in Segmentation, Model Validation, and Analytics Support (Mantas, Norkom and Big data). Provide analytics capability to support data integrity and testing of new systems and enhances existing automated suspicious activity transaction monitoring systems and Know Your Customer ("KYC") programs. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Math, Statistics or a related quantitative field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Math, Statistics or a related quantitative field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Qualifying experience must include:
• Using SAS/Python/R, Oracle, and MS SQL Server to query and analyze large data sources.
• Database skills (Oracle SQL, PL/SQL), including working with advanced data sets, pivot tables, advanced database and statistical functions and methods.
• Experience conducting advanced statistical analysis including but not limited to regression, clustering and network analysis.
• Data mining/analytical tools and automated solutions, including SAS/Python/R, and SQL.
• Developing comprehensive user requirements, and provide recommendations for appropriate automated solutions to mitigate those risks
• Experience with technology and data integrity including profiling, extracting, analyzing, testing, and reviewing data;
• Experience authoring, testing, and executing code (both front and back end); and
• Writing, executing, and documenting test scripts
